Our client, a successful, well established communications agency in Hampshire are looking to open a brand new branch in Manchester, and need to recruit a new Account Manager to join the team. 

You will need to have a background in public consultation gained in the north of England. Experience of working in northern boroughs and good political contacts are crucial. The successful candidate will have an understanding of property and planning and be enthusiastic to work on strategic projects in the region.

Account Manager Duties Involve:

  1. Supporting Account Directors in executing creative engagement programmes to help achieve your clients’ objectives.
  2. Carrying out direct liaison with stakeholders and members of the public.
  3. Producing concise and compelling collateral material.
  4. Securing consent for planning applications.
  5. Possibly carrying out wider public affairs campaigns depending on your experience.
  6. Managing client accounts and Account Executives.

Account Manager Skills Required:

  1. Understand the property and planning sector and how local government works.
  2. Communicate well with strong writing and inter-personal skills.
  3. Demonstrate drive, commitment and a focus to producing work of the highest standard.
  4. Have attention to detail, excellent workload management and be a good team player.
  5. Ideally have experience of managing a team.
