Green Shoots Recruitment are looking for a Web Designer to design and produce content within the Web Design team ensuring all output and quality of work meets required criteria.

 

1. Website Creation

• Liaise with the appropriate marketing and community teams and work directly with the Senior Web Designer & lead to achieve goals

• Ensuring that any work carried out on the website meets the marketing and design needs as instructed by the Senior Web Designer or Design Lead

• Requesting, collating and sourcing appropriate assets for yourself from external team leads

• Making sure the website is completed in a timely manner and to the specified deadline

• Tracking & communicating project progress to the Senior Web Designer

• Managing the localization of key terms in the look and feel in time for site launch

 

2. Creative for External websites

• Ensure that you are aware of the full specs and required message for particular creative

• Ensure that deadlines for the creative are met

 

3.   Direct Marketing Communications

• Liaise with the relevant owner when building email communications

• Ensure that the email has been tested in the proper manner, through mail clients before sending on for approval

• Manage approval process with territory leads before handing over to the project owner

 

4.   Community Asset Creation

• Liaise with the Community Team to determine asset requirements

• Build Community assets are built according to agreed design specs and delivered within deadlines

 

5.   Digital Advertising Assets

• Work with the Digital Marketing Manager to establish any digital advertising requirements

• Provide designs based on agreed specs within deadlines to Digital Marketing Manager for approvals

• Pass approved designs to web programmers for build

 

Essential Requirements

• Design Related Degree/HND or equivalent

• A minimum of 1 year’s commercial Web Design experience.

•  Adobe suite: Flash (including ActionScript), Photoshop, Dreamweaver,  Web browser compatibility

• Ability to apply common sense solutions to problems

• Excellent written and verbal communication

• Excellent multi-tasking ability

• Ability to hit tight deadlines in a high pressure environment

• Able to work on own initiative & within a team environment

• Self motivator and able to motivate others

• Creative aptitude
