Green Shoots Recruitment Ltd is looking for a Web Developer for a Digital Design and Communications Agency in Staffordshire.
We are currently recruiting for a Web Developer to join the expanding team at a successful digital marketing agency based in Staffordshire. They provide email marketing, website design, SEO, design and branding and we’re looking for an experienced Web Developer who will play a vital role in the successful delivery of a variety of web projects.
The Role
Your Responsibilities will include:
– Working with Multinational clients and EU-funded projects to ensure timely completion of projects
– Using XML, CSV, custom APIs and other feeds to complete integration with popular CMS’s
– Backend development of our websites to ensure clients’ needs are met
– Liaising with the design team to ensure there are no development issues with the designs they produce
The Candidate
You must be able to:
– Display a strong understanding of PHP, including the ability to modify existing code and develop from scratch
– Show a high level of experience in HTML, CSS, JQuery and Javascript
– Use SQL database systems such as MySQL
– Present development experience with generic CMS and ecommerce platforms (Joomla, Magento, Drupal etc.) and examples of bespoke customisation on these platforms
– Develop integration processes for generic CMS platforms with stock and inventory control systems (using CSV, XML or custom APIs)
– Show evidence of problem debugging within these environments
– Handle multiple projects and prioritise the required tasks effectively to meet deadlines
– Work under pressure
– Work with a creative team to build design-led websites
Desired skills
– A desire to learn new skills and a pro-active approach to implementing them
– JSON and REST API knowledge would be an advantage
– An understanding of deployment processes and ability to implement best practice
– SEO knowledge would be a great benefit
– Ability to develop HTML email from flat PSDs
– Knowledge of web and server security
– Meticulous attention to detail
